Early life
I was born and raised in Tetovo, Macedonia 🇲🇰. I got "hooked" on computers at a very early age, and I started programming in languages such as BASIC and PASCAL in my early teens. Meanwhile, I was also actively playing chess and had participated in multiple nation-wide tournaments and championships.
Life = Music
Conquering Lion
In the autumn of 2005, I became obsessed with music and attending live shows. Shortly afterwards, I started playing drums and I bought my first drum kit in October 2006. In April 2007, I co-founded a dub-reggae-hardcore band named Conquering Lion. Together with the band, I played 170 live shows across Europe and released two LPs: "I" in October 2009 and "Know Your Wisdom" in August 2011. From June 2010 to November 2011, I was completely responsible for managing live shows and organizing tours for the band. I decided to leave the band in November 2011.
Napravi Zaedno
Meanwhile, I co-founded an independent record label named Napravi Zaedno (English: Do It Together) in December 2010. In the period between September 2012 and December 2013, I was touring intesively across mainland Europe and worked as a roadie for amazing bands such as Bernays Propaganda, XAXAXA, and VVhile. I was also privileged to work closely and to shared the stage in a couple of occasions with Bernays Propaganda. I was also privileged to play percussions as a guest on two tracks of their third LP named "Zabraneta Planeta" and one track of their 7" split record named "Until All Are Free" with the Norwegian band Modern Love. Napravi Zaedno published 22 records before disbanding in January 2014.
High Control
In October 2014, I joined the Macedonian alternative rock band High Control as a drummer. Together with the band, I played about 25 shows across Macedonia mostly as a cover band under the name Painted. I decided to leave the band in November 2015 to focus on my bachelor's degree studies.
Back to school
Bachelor's degree studies
In September 2014, I started my bachelor's degree studies in "Computer Science and Engineering" at the University "Ss. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, Macedonia 🇲🇰. During my studies, I was mostly focused on topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and programming. Moreover, I had worked on multiple projects related to data mining, natural language processing, robotics, and time series. In my final semester, I had the privilege to work on my bachelor thesis as a research assistant at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts under the supervision of Academician Ljupcho Kocarev. I graduated in November 2018.
Master's degree studies
In October 2019, I started my master's degree studies in "Machine Learning" at the University of Tübingen. During my studies, I was also working as a research assistant as part of the Rationality Enhancement Group at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligence Systems in Tübingen, Germany 🇩🇪. In my final semester, I had the privilege to work on my master thesis titled "Prediction of Dense Occupancy Grid Maps Using Deep Learning" as a research intern at the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence in Renningen, Germany 🇩🇪. I graduated in November 2021.
Present
Since January 2022, I have been working as a Machine Learning Engineer at a start-up company that develops AI-based visual quality control systems named Maddox AI (former Layer7 AI) in Tübingen, Germany 🇩🇪. My tasks there vary from executing projects to product development.
Outside of work, I mostly spend my time learning new skills and concepts 🧠, practicing jiu-jitsu 🥋, listening to podcasts 🎧, and exploring new music 🎵. Besides that, I am also obsessed with mindfulness practices 🧘♂️, improving productivity ⚙️, travelling 🌎, and Brazil 🇧🇷.
